I finished the B.S.W. Program in May 2011 and am so glad I decided to take the course. Not only did I learn the actual skills and techniques with regards to cleaning and received my Certificate from Ian's "Wellers" Universal Building Service Worker Program, but it was only 2 months later I was hired by the City of Richmond.
In fact several friends of mine were very satisfied and greatful because they are also employed by various school districts after listening to my advice about taking this course. For those of you who may be deciding upon which course to take I can highly recommend the "Wellers" Universal Building Service Worker Course as a perfect alternative for them to have a good career, job security, and a good future.

I took the course back in Nov. 2005 and henceforth my life was never the same again.Within just 4 months after finishing the 6 week program, I was hired as caretaker/custodian with the Surrey School District. The job has afforded me the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills I learned in the course, and at the same time provided me with financially rewarding and stable employment.I'm now in my 14th year with the Surrey School Board and I look back at the BSW Course with gratitude which had undeniably served as my passport to my career success.I owe it very much to "Wellers" Universal Building Service Worker Program especially the point person behind it,Mr. Ian Robertson who administered the course exceptionally well with his in depth knowledge and experience along with all the hands on approach.Kudos to Ian for keeping up the good work.

I'm extremely pleased to provide this letter of recommendation to Mr. Ian Robertson of "Robertson's Building Service Maintenance &Instruction Inc."
My name is Robin Faulkner and 2 months ago I found myself unemployed at the age of 50. Rather than turn to my last employment I decided on a career change which was scary to say the least. After careful research I decided to enroll in Ian's B.S.W. Program to become a Building Service Worker.
When I first spoke to Ian over the phone I immediately liked him. Ian was honest and forthright from the start and made me feel very comfortable putting my life in his hands. Ian has a very charismatic approach to teaching his course that inspires devotion in others and brings out the best in everyone. The course is extremely exciting, funny, and challenging. And as a teacher Ian genuinely cares deeply for each and every student and wants to make sure everyone succeeds. I started Ian's course the last week of July 2018 and it's a 6 week course. 5 weeks into the course I started putting out resumes and yesterday Aug. 22nd I received a call from District # 37 Delta School District to come in for an interview. This morning to my delight (Aug. 23rd) I was hired by Delta and I haven't even received my Certificate yet!
I am a true believer in Mr. Ian Robertson and his course and therefore highly recommend Ian and his course to anyone that is looking to improve their quality of life. Not only is Ian a great teacher, but he turned out to be a great friend as well.
Should anyone want to reach out to me to confirm this testimonial I encourage you to do so. Take that risk, meet new people, improve your life, enjoy benefits from your work and experience a really great teacher!
Sincerely;
Mr. Robin Faulkner

I finished the course from "Wellers" Universal Building Service Worker Program back in April 2016.
I was able to land a job before finishing the course due to Ian's thorough and exceptional training techniques. I would certainly recommend Ian as an Instructor for the BSW Course. I have been able to use all of Ian's techniques in my current employment which has given me the opportunity to do my job effectively and with confidence.

I recently completed the Building Service Worker Program at Train to Clean.
I was looking for a course that offered courses in the evenings and on weekends and the "Wellers" Universal Building Service Worker Program fit the bill perfectly!
Ian is fantastic Instructor who is very passionate about what he does, which benefits his students in many ways.
In the past few weeks I have interviewed with several school districts and have already been offered employment with two of them !
I owe that to Ian and the quality of training that I received .I am confident with my new skills and highly recommend Ian and the "Wellers" Course to anyone considering a career in the custodial field.

I took the "Wellers Universal Building Service Worker Course in October/November 2016 with Ian Robertson in Langley after I tried to apply to the Surrey School Board # 36.
They told me about the BSW Program that Ian provides and how to get in touch with him.I got in contact with Ian right away and was taking the 6 week course within a week. While taking the course I had applied to the Surrey School District and was called for my first interview within a few days after finishing the course. They requested a copy of my Certificate and a copy of the full Evaluation provided to every student upon completion of the program.I have now gone through the process of being hired by Surrey School District as of January 2017.
None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for the program and Ian's ability of teaching and knowledge of the BSW industry. Ian is a hands on Instructor and it was a real pleasure taking the course with him.
Thank you Ian!-Stan
Ian the Instructor has excellent communication skills. I learned so much about much about Custodial and how to do it in a Professional way.Ian is very knowledgeable and covers everything you will need to know in the Cleaning Profession. I completed the course feeling confident I can go forward and do Custodial work correctlyto more than satisfy any employer.Ian injects humor into the lessons as well as real life hands on and practical experience of his. As a student I found actually working with the equipment and seeing Ian demonstrate their use rounded out my education perfectly.I can say with great certainty I definitley got my "moneys worth" in taking this course.
-Derek-2018-now working with Surrey School District.
I am very happy to say I took the Wellers course with Ian Robertson as my Instructor in May of 2019 and after taking the summer off I applied to the city of Burnaby.
I got the job thanks to the excellent training I had in the B S W Program.
I had no idea the course would be able to teach me so many things about how to properly do the job as a Custodian and being able to experience all the hands on situations in the program has helped me greatly adjust to my new career.
Thanks so much Ian!

I was able to complete the Wellers Universal Building Service Worker Program just before things changed greatly with the co vid and shortly afterwards I was able to secure employment with the Surrey School District.
I learned a great deal of extensive very hands on training and I know it's going to help me very much to not only keep my job because I'll be doing things properly with better eye for detail, but I'll be able to be always organized completing my tasks more efficiently and taking less time.
The program and Mr. Ian taught us so many things and I would like to say Thank you very much to Ian Robertson

I took at 6 week Building Service Worker Training Program from Robertson's Building Service Maintenance & Instruction Inc. in Langley earlier this year and was recently hired by Surrey School District.
I missed the first day of instruction as I called one day after the program had already started however Ian the Instructor kindly accepted me into the class and gave me a quick orientation on the second day. I was very grateful for this because I could clearly see his intention to help and work with his students. His Theory lectures were always well prepared and delivered using many examples, real stories of his experiences, useful handouts, slides through a projector and son throughout the program.
I honestly did not imagine there was so much to learn to become a Building Service Worker, however as the class progressed I practiced and applied what I have learned through the Practical training which was designed very carefully for all the students to try out different tasks repeatedly. I started gaining confidence and became comfortable with different skills learned. During the Practical training I worked with 2-3 classmates together as a team to complete different tasks and the team members and tasks changed daily.
This was very helpful to build rapport with each and every classmate and also to practice effective communication skills. Ian provided hands on training with different tools, equipment and machines which was fun and effective.
Ian and his assistant gladly answered our questions, pointed out the oversight and explained things again giving us tips and motivating us to support and enhance our learning throughout the course.
As the program was nearing the end, Ian provided us with a very detail and practical handout containing sample contracts and quotations we can use and explained about our career options to explore after successful completion of the program. It was very helpful in planning and seeking the right employment opportunities. It was also very resourceful to see the updates Ian diligently posted on his private Facebook group that all students are invited to join. At the time I was taking the course there was over 750 people in the group!
This Building Service Worker Training Program instructed by Ian Robertson of Robertson't Building Service Maintenance & Instruction Inc. was the right choice for me and I highly recommend it to everyone who is interested in becoming a Building Service Worker!
Best wishes,

Review for Ian Robertson's Building Service Worker Course.
I attended the North Delta B S W Course in July.I was instantly impressed by how much thought and knowledge is put into this course.I enjoyed learning the Practical part and the Theory left no stone unturned. If you are looking at changing careers and are considering becoming a Building Service Worker you must consider taking this course. Your eyes will be opened to just how important caretaking/cleaning is especially during these days of Covid. Ian and Nicki are masters and you will not regret the money you spend to attend this program!

2021 Grad!
My name is Wilfred H. And I was a student in March of this year in Langley.
It was a very informative course during challenging times obviously due to covid but Ian and his staff did a great job following all safety protocols and the result was myself and the other students being able to learn so much information over the 6 week training period in a safe environment.
I was also very happy to be hired by the city of Vancouver in June!
So glad I took the program!
I took this course earlier this year of 2021 and things were touch and go with the whole covid situation but I felt everything was handled very well. I also want to add that the course content was exactly what I was looking for to give me the experience I needed to get a job with Langley School District shortly after I graduated.

2021 Grad
Hi. This is Baljinder K. from the March class of 2021.I am so excited to start my new job with Burnaby School District thanks to Mr. Ian Robertson from the Wellers Universal Building Service Worker Training Program. I am so happy I decided to enroll and by the time the course was over I had learned a great deal which will make it so much easier to take on a new career. If you are thinking of registering, don't put it off because there are plenty of good job opportunities.
Late 2021 grad:
My name is Ron P. from Surrey and I got hired 2 weeks ago by the City of Coquitlam.
I found the course to be well organized, in depth and as Hands on as you can get which has really helped me in my new job. Had I taken an online course of some sort I in no way would be comfortable with machines I'm already using like the Auto Scrubber etc. I would also have no clue when it comes to be properly organized so the job can get done thoroughly and efficiently.
On top of that I had my choice of three different opportunities for work when I started looking for new employment so it is definitely worth it to enroll in the program. Call Ian and he will take the time to explain everything about the program before you enroll and when you do you will enjoy his Instructing style which is incredibly helpful. Don't put if off, just do it!
I took the course about a year ago. Shortly after graduating I started working full time for
the Township of Langley.

I took the Building Service Worker Training Program in January/22 @ Credo Christian Secondary. Throughout the 6 weeks I received some of the best hands-on experience you could ask for as these high school students di their part to keep our class busy. We learned how to use industry specific tools and how to keep up to the high standards that Ian Robertson puts forward. We needed to hustle to get done before 9:15 as we had a smaller class but that was all the better to help us understand what it's really like to do the job on your own. You truly learn everything that will make you successful if you choose to pursue a Janitorial career. This course has pushed me to get some additional training as I would like to run an entire facility with a pool and ice rink. So, if you are looking for the kickstart into a new career take this well taught course as you will not be disappointed!
Thanks,

A good friend of mine who completed this course, introduced me to this program while I was looking to change careers. He knows I like to clean and organize things around me all the time so he got me the perfect choice to choose the right career.
I used to work in the food preparation industry and I also worked for Canada Post, so I was physically and mentally capable for a very hands on experience. Yes, it seems as though there was a lot of information to go through as this is not the same as simple house cleaning, but the Instructors with years and years of experience professionally, guided us smoothly through the theory and hands on content of the program. They know what they are talking about and they know just how to prepare students to not only be successful in the course, but also after the completion of the classes and working as custodians.
The team of Instructors treats it's multicultural students with a high level of understanding, respect, awesome attitude and manners.
Most importantly, they continue to support their students to have lots of great opportunities with finding the right career even after the completion of the program.
The precious time I spent with Ian, Scott, and Allan was a game changer to my life.
Thankyou so much.

Hello Ian
My personal Testimony on taking your program to obtain a Certificate as a B.S.W.
My name is Tami and I'm in my early 50's. After losing my 28 year career I was looking for a new occupation to step into. Friends of mine highly recommended this Program that Mr. Robertson puts on.
I found the Course to be well organized throughout, and the teaching within the Program was thorough, which made it very understandable with the way you explain things and have demonstrations.
I especially liked how the class has the hands on approach as this truly gives the student the experience and feel for the real job.
Anyone that is looking to get into this field of work I would highly recommend only this program with the hands and lecture combination.
Sincerely,
Tami-Former student graduate of Nov. 2022
